Firm Roots: Off Minor Jazz Series at Alphabet City

City of Asylum @ Alphabet City, located at 40 West North Avenue, is the permanent home for City of Asylum programming and the arts. It is a hub for Pittsburgh’s readers and writers, jazz and small-scale music and performance, and artistic experimentation. Off Minor Jazz Series: Firm Roots
Sunday, November 11 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Alphabet City is hosting an evening of jazz with Firm Roots as part of the Off Minor Jazz Series. Firm Roots is a jazz sextet made up of some of the finest musicians from Pittsburgh, PA, and the tri-state area. Featured Musicians for this performance will be Dr. James Moore on trumpet / flugelhorn, Jeff Bush on trombone, Tenor Eric DeFade on flute, Dr. Alton Merrell on piano, Paul Thompson on bass, and Thomas Wendt on drums.
