Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation (PHLF), in cooperation with the Children’s Museum and Manchester Academic Charter School, will be offering three special guided walking tours of the MuseumLab Building to people who are especially interested in hearing how the former Carnegie Free Library of Allegheny has been transformed.
This free tour is intended for adults who have memories of visiting the former library and are eager to see its transformation into MuseumLab, a museum for older youth created by the Children’s Museum. You’ll hear how the Richardsonian Romanesque landmark from 1890, first renovated in the 1970s and then vacated in 2006, has become a vibrant, dynamic, nurturing, and sustainable educational center.
The free Guided Walking Tours will be held on the following dates. Select a date to find more details about the tour:
- Saturday, March 14 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm
