Join Pittsburgh Citiparks Ranger Nancy Schaefer and naturalist Erica McGrath on an early morning bird hike in Riverview Park. Participants should meet at the Riverview Park Visitor Center, located at the entrance to the park on RIverview Avenue. The Center will be open at 8:00 am. The Bird Hike will be from 8:30 to 10:00 am and will cover about four miles. Riverview trails are moderate to challenging in terms of elevation and walkability. There will be a pair of binoculars to share, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
The Riverview Park Bird Hike will be held on the third Sunday of the month on August 20, September 17, and October 15. This will be a “quiet” hike. No RSVP is required. If you have questions or need additional information, email Ranger Nancy Schaefer or call 412-616-0383.
