Twice a year, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police sponsors an opportunity for students in the Pittsburgh community to become closely acquainted with the roles and responsibilities of the Police Bureau. The program allows participants to experience some of the highlights of police training and be exposed to the operations of the police bureau. All this takes place in a safe and entertaining training environment.
Student Police Academy
The next Student Police Academy will begin on Wednesday, March 14. The program will be held each Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:30 pm for 10 weeks at the Pittsburgh Community Day School, located at 6424 Forward Avenue in Squirrel Hill. Applications must be received by Friday, March 9, 2018.
