TreeVitalize Application Deadline: Fall 2020 Street Tree Plantings

Are you interested in having a tree planted in front of your house? Have you and your neighbors discussed beautifying your street with several new trees? The Fall 2020 TreeVitalize applications are currently available online for community tree plantings within the City of Pittsburgh.

The TreeVitalize Pittsburgh street tree plantings help the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and its partners meet the goals of Pittsburgh’s 10-year Street Tree Management Plan. The Conservancy does this work through new plantings, replacing trees that have been removed because of age or health reasons, and filling vacant tree planting sites. TreeVitalize Pittsburgh supports street tree plantings within the City of Pittsburgh by providing forestry expertise, trees, supplies, and planting event coordination for neighborhood groups.

If you and your neighbors are interested in street tree plantings, or need more information, visit the Applying to TreeVitalize web page and download the Fall 2020 TreeVitalize City of Pittsburgh application. In order for your application to be considered, you must contact Jeff BergmanDirector of Community Forestry and TreeVitalize Pittsburgh, at 412-586-2396 or jbergman@paconserve.org, prior to submitting an application.
