Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins & The Golden Legend at New Hazlett

New Hazlett Theater is more than just a building. It’s an incubator for artists. The Theater embraces a broad range of artists and arts organizations, hosting diverse audiences and encouraging the success of Pittsburgh’s performing arts community. In addition, it creates an energetic arena for arts events and community dialogue in its Northside neighborhood.

Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins & The Golden Legend
Friday, October 26 to Sunday, October 28
The Blanket’s second project brings renowned New York City choreographer Christopher Williams to Pittsburgh to work with local dancers. The show will feature excerpts of the Bessie Award-winning Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins (2005) and its companion piece The Golden Legend (2009). The performance will feature live music by NYC-based vocal group Modern Medieval in collaboration with local musicians. There will be a Q&A with Christopher Williams on October 26 directly following the performance.
