Carnegie Science Center Hosts 21+ Night: Construction

The construction on the new Science Pavilion at Carnegie Science Center adds to the fun of  the next 21+ Night! Come to the Science Center for a night of activities and presentations about the science of construction. During the evening, you can:

  • Join City Theatre staff members and the production team from the theater’s upcoming play Ironbound, as they discuss the process of bringing a play from the page to the stage.
  • Use recycled materials to design your own set from hand drawn methods to CAD software.
  • Engineer a structure out of the big blocks from BLUE!
  • Release your inner engineer with tables full of LEGO bricks and K’nex pieces, no hard hat required!
  • Watch a demonstration of modern rapid prototyping with a 3D printer from the Fab Lab!
  • Listen to live music provided by local band Nightly Standard.
  • And more!

21+ Night: Construction will be held on Friday, April 28, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Carnegie Science Center. As always, 21+ Night features cash bars, snacks available for purchase, and the chance to experience four floors of hands-on exhibits – with no kids! For more information, or to purchase your ticket, visit the 21+ Night event page.
