Enjoy an adults-only evening at the Carnegie Science Center during the next 21+ Night: StormFest. Make rocks and weather maps, discover the effects of El Niño and updrafts, see a tornado in a jar, and experiment with raindrops. Hands-on activity stations will be presented by students studying meteorology, geology, geographic information systems, mathematics, and education at California University of Pennsylvania and Ohio University.
Experience weather demos by Science Center staff in the Works Theater. Watch a pencil break a wooden board at tornado speeds and witness a million-volt lightning strike from the giant Tesla coil!
21+ Night: StormFest will be held at the Carnegie Science Center on Friday, February 6, from 6:00 until 10:00 pm. 21+ Night features cash bars and snacks available for purchase. Enjoy live music by local band, JD Eicher and the Goodnights.
