Storytelling with Karen Williams
Saturday, May 5 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm
Celebrate Children’s Book Week with a family-friendly afternoon of storytelling and crafting with author Karen Williams. Karen will share writing experiences and toy galimotos that originated from her experiences in Malawi. In her picture book, Galimoto, a boy named Kondi goes on a quest for pieces of wire to shape his very own toy truck, car, or bicycle. After Karen’s reading of Galimoto, kids will be invited to create their own toys out of recycled materials. Copies of Karen William’s books will be available for purchase and signing.
