AIR Hosts Clothing Swap and Upcycle

Artists Image Resource (AIR) is hosting an all-gender upcycle clothing swap with on-site screen printing and sewing stations for immediate modification gratification! All ages and skills sets welcome! AIR volunteers will assist you in screen printing a design template onto t-shirts, bags, scraps of fabrics – whatever you think needs some style.

Here’s how it works: You can donate your clean, unwanted clothing on August 8, 9, and 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, or bring a bag with you on Saturday, August 12. On that day, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, you can dig into the piles and alter/embellish, or cut up and recreate what you find! In no time at all, you will be strutting about in your own one-of-a-kind fashion!

All leftover clothing will be donated to Repurposed, a thrift store on the Northside that directly benefits Living in Liberty. Living in Liberty facilitates the restoration of dignity and freedom to women an children who are victims of human trafficking by creating a loving and nurturing community that is safe and secure where healing and transformation happens.
