Allegheny City’s Oldest African-American Church

Come to the Allegheny City Historic Gallery for a special Christmas Season presentation! Learn about the history of Allegheny City’s oldest African-American church, Metropolitan Baptist Church, with church Historian Mrs. Martina Corbin. Located on Sampsonia Street, this congregation has just celebrated it’s 165th Anniversary. Be sure to bring the entire family to this special event. Requested donation is $5.

The History of Metropolitan Baptist Church, Allegheny City’s Oldest African-American Church will be held on Wednesday, December 2, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Allegheny City Historic Gallery, located at 433 East Ohio Street in neighboring Historic Deutschtown.
