As part of their Lecture Series, the Allegheny YMCA will host William Strickland of the Manchester Bidwell Corporation as he speaks about The Art Of Leadership.
William Strickland was born in Pittsburgh in 1947. With the help of his high school art teacher, Strickland began a journey from disadvantaged minority in the civil rights era to world-renowned social innovator and Founder, President and CEO of the non-profit Manchester Bidwell Corporation.
Bill Strickland believes that everyone has the potential for remarkable achievement. Too often, however, we don’t recognize it, or we fail to tap into it. In his book, Make the Impossible Possible, Strickland shares the philosophy and inspiration he has used to transform lives for forty years.
Using lessons from his own experiences and those of the countless others, he has helped to turn lives around. Strickland shows that all of us can engage our passion and build on our strengths. By dreaming bigger and setting the bar higher, we can all achieve more meaningful success in our careers and our lives – and change the world in the process.
The lecture will begin at 7:15 pm on Wednesday, December 10 at the Allegheny YMCA (600 West North Avenue). Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Be sure not to miss this enlightening evening!
