MCG Jazz Presents Jazz, Rhythm, Heart, and Soul

Since 1987, MCG Jazz has brought audiences together with jazz artists at its 350-seat music hall in Manchester. Their performance series, one of the oldest in the nation, is an anchor of Pittsburgh cultural and community life. Performances take place at MCG Jazz, located at 1815 Metropolitan Street in Manchester.

The Baylor Project

The Baylor Project featuring the collaboration of Jean Baylor and Marcus Baylor is steeped in the heart and soul of Jazz. As the children of Pastors, Marcus and Jean’s musical roots were planted deep within the church, and it was there that the road was paved for the influence of gospel, blues, soul, and jazz to make it’s mark. Their debut CD, The Journey, topped the Billboard Jazz Chart at Number 8 and garnered two Grammy® Nominations for Best Jazz Vocal Album and Best Traditional R&B Performance. The Baylor Project is an undeniable force. This program is presented by Kente Arts Alliance.
