The Best of the MLK, Jr. Day Writing Awards
Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00 pm
Come to Alphabet City for The Best of the MLK, Jr. Day Writing Awards presented by Carnegie Mellon University. Challenges to the Dream: The Best of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Writing Awards is an anthology that celebrates a writing contest that has invited Pittsburgh-area high school and college students to write honestly and creatively about race. The mission of the MLK Day Writing Awards is to create a space for daring, eloquent, and inventive work, in the belief that the process of writing itself can help young people explore and break down issues of difference in their lives. For more information about the awards, visit The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Writing Awards.
