The Pittsburgh Chapter of the Silent Book Club meets at cafes and bars around the city. New to Silent Book Clubs? The Silent Book Club started in 2012 with a couple of friends reading in companionable silence at their neighborhood bar. Often with traditional book clubs, there’s the scramble to finish the assigned book, and the pressure to have something smart to say. Wouldn’t it be great to have a book club where you could just enjoy books, friends, coffee, wine, or beer – without any homework?

Pittsburgh’s Silent Book Club will be held on Sunday, February 23 from 12:30 to 3:00 pm at California Coffee Bar, located at 3619 California Avenue in Brighton Heights. All bookworms, bibliophiles, readers, lit-lovers are welcome! Bring a book and read silently with friends and neighbors. Meet other readers, get lost in the pages, and enjoy good coffee!
