Carnegie Science Center Hosts Engineer the Future 2018

Celebrate National Engineers Week at Carnegie Science Center with Engineer the Future 2018, powered by the EQT Foundation. Learn about the different types of engineering by engaging in hands-on activities, meeting local professionals, and checking out presentations at more than 40 event tables. Activities include:

  • Playing Sphero Bowling by coding Sphero robots to roll around the floor and knock over various items
  • Making high-bounce balls
  • Building a racecar with a clothespin, straw, twist ties, and buttons and seeing how fast it goes
  • Learning about electrical safety by seeing how a circuit breaker works
  • Seeing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ working lock model
  • And so much more!

Engineer the Future 2018 is running from Friday, February 23 to Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. All related activities are free with the cost of admission. For more information, visit the Engineer the Future event page.
