Charlie Chaplin Silent Picture Show at Children’s Museum

Come to the Children’s Museum to enjoy Tom Roberts, pianist and arranger, performing his own music written to accompany the movie, The Rink, Charlie Chaplin’s silent film from 1916. Tom Roberts is one of the leading exponents of early jazz piano in the world today. He has performed on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. Tom arranged and performed the music for the soundtrack of Martin Scorsese’s film The Aviator, starring Leonardo di Caprio, as well as several titles for the film DeLovely.

The 30-minute performance of Charlie Chaplin Silent Picture Show with Tom Roberts will be presented on Friday, March 24 at 1:00 pm, and again at 2:30 pm, in the theater of the Children’s Museum.
