ChemFest: Chemistry is Out of This World at Carnegie Science Center

Celebrate National Chemistry Week at Carnegie Science Center during ChemFest! Chemistry is not limited to beakers and laboratories; it is all around us! Learn how chemistry is used in the workplace and in everyday life. ChemFest is a mixture of chemistry, exploration, and fun!

Free with general admission, visitors will engage in hands-on activities and see dazzling demonstrations, that could include:

  • Making Alka-Rockets with Bayer representatives.
  • Drawing constellations by involving chemiluminescence, photoluminescence, or fluorescence
  • Building molecules using the Happy Atoms kit
  • Using easy-to-make spectroscopes to see different colors from various light sources
  • And more!
