Writers in the Gardens
Saturday, August 4 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm
This unique literary event takes groups of audience members on a short walking tour of City of Asylum’s House Publication gardens. In each garden, a featured poet will treat the audience to short readings. City of Asylum has commissioned the featured writers to create site-specific pieces especially about their assigned gardens. These works will then be published in a special chapbook that attendees will receive for free. The featured Writers in the Gardens will be Sharon Dilworth, Celeste Gainey, Michael Simms, and Sandra Gould Ford.
