Community Input Needed: ARP Funding for Northside Projects

Pittsburgh City Council is currently holding public hearings on the allocation of Federal Funds from the American Rescue Plan (ARP). These funds will greatly benefit our Northside neighborhoods. The Northside projects include:

  • North Avenue Streetscape, Safety, and Signal Upgrade:
    $2.5 Million
  • Land Bank – to Address Vacant/Abandoned Property:
    $10 Million
  • AHN Urban Poverty and Street Outreach Program:
    $10 Million
  • Vacant Lot Maintenance:
    $6 Million
  • Davis Avenue Bridge Reconstruction:
    $2 Million
  • Avenues of Hope Observatory Hill Business District:
    $1 Million
  • Cowley Recreation Center Reconstruction:
    $6 Million

Community members who are in favor of this funding for these Northside projects, are asked to give public comments directly to City Council. This can be done in one of two ways:

  • Sign up to Speak at the City Council’s Virtual Hearing:
    • The last hearing will be held on Monday, July 12 at 6:00 pm
      Register online or call 412-255-2138 by 3:00 pm on Monday, July 12
  • Submit Written Comments to the City Clerk’s Office
