Organizations that provide a sense of security to the homeless on an emergency, temporary, or permanent basis, need your help during this holiday season. Beginning Monday, December 8 at 6:00 am, the Pittsburgh Foundation is launching a special three-week PittsburghGives public campaign that is focused on the nonprofit organizations that serve the homeless population of Pittsburgh during this critical time.
Our neighbor, Light of Life Rescue Mission, whose mission is to provide a home for the homeless and food for the hungry, is one of the 35 nonprofits that will benefit from this campaign.
During the three week campaign, your donation of $25 or more to Light of Life Rescue Mission, or any of the other nonprofits serving the homeless, will be matched dollar-for-dollar by The Pittsburgh Foundation up to $100,000.
So be sure to mark December 8 on your calendar and plan to give! Encourage your friends and family to give as well!
