City of Asylum: All Pittsburghers are Poets
City of Asylum has hosted many poet laureates in the past fifteen years, like U.S. Poet Laureates Natasha Tretheway, Tracy K. Smith and Joy Harjo, and now they are excited to announce that Allegheny County will have its own poet laureate program!
The first-ever Allegheny County Poet Laureate Program is now accepting applications online in four categories. This program is part of All Pittsburghers are Poets, a new project of City of Asylum that highlights the significance of poetry and advances its mission to defend, celebrate, and build on creative freedom of expression. - Allegheny County Youth Poet Laureate
- Allegheny County Emerging Poet Laureate
- Allegheny County American Sign Language Poet Laureate
- Official Poet Laureate of Allegheny County
The deadline to submit your application is Sunday, March 8, 2020 at midnight.
