Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Works, in partnership with Councilman Bobby Wilson’s Office, is soliciting feedback for a new playground in Allegheny Commons Park. The playground will replace the one that was recently removed near the Iron Deer statue in the western part of the park. The previous playground had reached the end of its usable lifespan and a majority of the structure needed to be removed due to safety concerns.
The City of Pittsburgh has begun a community engagement process by posting a survey online to gather input from the community about the design of the renovated playground.
To give your feedback, visit the Community Engagement Survey web page. If you have questions or need more information, email Andrea Ketzel, Senior Project Landscape Architect, Department of Public Works.
The Community Engagement Survey will be available until Friday, January 8, 2021.
