Deutschtown Music Festival is extremely excited to present a new event this year in Allegheny Commons Park: Hands Over Deutschtown. This MicroFest will feature two shows of the premiere production from post-industrial performance artists Squonk. Entitled Hand to Hand, the performance will be held near Sue Murray Pool – on the future site of the permanent Skyline Stage.
To complement Squonk’s performance, there will be a number of other performances on the lawn and on the concrete stage across from the Allegheny Elks Lodge on Cedar Avenue. Additionally, there will be an artist and vendor market presented by RedFishBowl, with a buskers stage in the park above the Hampton Battery Monument.
In the Northeastern part of the park, you can enjoy a beautifully diverse full-day lineup of amazing Pittsburgh musicians and bands. There will be community outreach from the fest’s sponsors, Highmark/AHN and First National Bank, focusing on health, financial literacy, and other programs. There will be food trucks, family-friendly activities, non-profits, and other organizations with programs for families and children, and as always, SURPRISES.
Hands Over Deutschtown will take place in Allegheny Commons Park on Saturday, July 17 from 11:00 am until 10:15 pm. For more information, including a schedule of performances, visit the Hands Over Deutschtown event page.
