The Northside Food Pantry Advisors (NFPA) are seeking individuals to join the Executive Committee in January 2021. 

The Northside Food Pantry Advisors mission is to ensure sustainable health and food security for our neighbors by donating time, money, and goods.

To Apply for the Executive Committee:

Provide a brief write-up describing why you want to join the Executive Committee, previous related experience, skills you can offer to benefit the mission, and current zip code. Inclusion of a resume is welcome if available. Please send all materials to foodpantryadvisors@gmail.com. 

Applications will be accepted until October 15, 2020. Individuals will be notified before December 2020 and begin January 2021.

Executive Committee Expectations:

• Serve a three year term with the option to serve a second three year term.
• Attend Executive Committee meetings, typically six times per year.
• Serve on at least one leadership team (Community Engagement, Finance, Strategic Planning).
• Be able to commit additional time outside of committee meetings to prepare and implement goals and objectives of NFPA (2-4 hours per month).
• Contribute as a monthly recurring financial donor (at a level that meets resources).

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess the Following:

• Enthusiasm and commitment to the Northside Food Pantry Advisor mission.
• Ability to communicate the mission and purpose of the organization while engaging with the community.
• Creativity and innovation while seeking the advancement of the organization and fulfillment of the mission.
• Previous non-profit experience (both volunteer, employment, and board service) is welcome, but not necessary.
• Preference given for those living within the communities served (zip codes 15212, 15214, or 15233). However, candidates are welcome from any community.
