City of Asylum @ Alphabet City, located at 40 West North Avenue, is the permanent home for City of Asylum programming and the arts. It is a hub for Pittsburgh’s readers and writers, jazz and small-scale music and performance, and artistic experimentation. Come to Alphabet City for a free evening of jazz with the DTC Organ Trio! DTC is a musical collective formed by musicians David “Throck” Throckmorton (drums), Dan Wilson (guitar), and Cliff Barnes (organ). DTC plays a variety of different genres due to their varied musical palettes. These include jazz, funk, gospel, R&B, Brazilian music, Afro-Cuban, Blues, Pop, and many other styles. All three musicians bring a vast amount of experience to the table, having shared the stage with a multitude of artists spanning across many different genres.
