In an effort to recover tree canopy lost in Allegheny County, Tree Pittsburgh is hosting two fall tree giveaway events!
Tree Pittsburgh, in partnership with Duquesne Light Company, Arbor Day Foundation, TruGreen, and FedEx, will distribute 1,000 free trees this fall – 500 at each of the following locations:
- Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium on Saturday, October 13 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- North Park Ice Rink on Saturday, November 3 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
The trees are provided at no cost. You are asked to register for one of the locations to secure your tree. Species at the giveaways will include river birch, sycamore, cornelian cherry dogwood, black gum, tulip poplar, and more.
