Presented by Front Porch Theatricals, Violet is set in 1964 in the Deep South during the early days of the Civil Rights Movement. Violet is a beautiful musical that follows the growth and enlightenment of a bitter young woman who embarks on a journey from North Carolina to Tulsa, Oklahoma in the hopes that a TV evangelist can cure her. On her journey of self-discovery, she meets a young black soldier who teaches her about true beauty, love, courage and what it means to be an outsider.
