Can You Volunteer at Riverview Park?
Once a month, staff from Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy weed, deadhead, and mulch in Riverview Park. Volunteers are welcome to work with the gardeners during these regularly scheduled events.
The Garden Volunteering Event at Riverview Park takes place on Wednesday, July 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. If you are interesting in being part of this effort, you can register online and meet at the Riverview Park Chapel Shelter, located at 366 Riverview Avenue. Tools, gloves, and training will be provided. Wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing. Garden Volunteering takes place on accessible, even paths. The gardening events are held rain or shine, but thunderstorms and high winds will cancel this event. All ages are welcome to help.
