City of Asylum @ Alphabet City, located at 40 West North Avenue, is the permanent home for City of Asylum programming and the arts. It promises to be a hub for Pittsburgh’s readers and writers, jazz and small-scale music and performance, and artistic experimentation. It is a home for diverse voices from around the globe – a place where Pittsburgh meets the world and the world meets Pittsburgh. George DeLancey Quartet

Come to Alphabet City for an evening of jazz with the George DeLancey Quartet celebrating the release of their second album, Paradise. George DeLancey is a native of Cambridge, OH, and a veteran of the New York City Jazz Scene. Jonathan Beshay is a jazz saxophonist, bandleader, and composer and has been with the Winard Harper’s band for more than two years. Theron Brown currently resides in Akron, Ohio, where he is a professor of Jazz Piano at Kent State University, and is immensely involved in promoting jazz music and the arts.
