Get ready to party like it’s 1999 at 21+ Prom Night! Visitors can dress up and strike a prom pose at the selfie station, or stop by the Green Screen and get a prom picture taken in front of a fun backdrop. Everybody is the Prom King or Queen at 21+ Prom Night! Visitors can decorate their own crowns using fake gems while observing real gems and minerals and learning a little geology. Enjoy some some delicious carbonated Plant Pop Punch in the BodyStage or stop by the Works Theater and learn to dance to your favorite 90’s and 00’s jams with Pittsburgh Dance Center. Guests can learn to perfect their outfits by learning to tie a necktie or bowtie using robot end effectors. You will be dancing the night away to music from Pittsburgh DJ Company in the Robot Lounge.
Don’t want the fun to stop? Have an “after party” with one of the Carnegie Science Center’s laser shows! For just a small additional charge, plan to see That 90s Laser Show at 10:00 pm, Beyoncé at 11:00 pm, and Pink Floyd at midnight!
21+ Night: Prom will be held on Friday, June 16 from 6:00 until 10:00 pm at Carnegie Science Center. As always, 21+ Night features live music, cash bars, snacks available for purchase, and the chance to experience four floors of hands-on exhibits – with no kids!
