If you want to buy fresh food items, you may want to check out Green Grocer‘s visit to the Northside!
Green Grocer is a mobile farmers’ market that is designed to travel into food desert communities to provide the fresh food options that are currently missing from the landscape. By selling fresh, healthy foods at an affordable price, Green Grocer will help to alleviate food inequity by creating access. Everyone is welcome to shop at the market. Green Grocer accepts multiple forms of payment, including SNAP/EBT and Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers.
Green Grocer makes four market stops every week in four different Pittsburgh neighborhoods. You will find them inside Northside Common Ministries – 1601 Brighton Road in California-Kirkbride – from 2:30 to 3:30 pm every Tuesday.
