Learn Bird Songs on National Aviary Overnight Trip

On an overnight off-site trip, the National Aviary Ornithologist, Bob Mulvihill, will take you east to the picturesque Ligonier Valley and surrounding Laurel Highlands. You will visit different habitats – grasslands, thickets, forests, and streams – where Bob will help you to learn the calls and songs of many resident species like Bobolink, White-eyed Vireo, Hooded Warbler, and Louisiana Waterthrush. You will stay overnight at the Ramada Inn in the middle of historic Ligonier, and there will be plenty of free time for you to stroll around town on Saturday evening.

The Learning Bird Songs Overnight Trip will take place on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. For reservations, email Audrey Beichner or call 412-258-9463. Participants must be at least 17 years old.
