Artists: Get advice on your current projects, discuss germinating ideas, or just come and be part of the conversation! Open Critique is a welcoming, casual forum for creative minds to share ideas, get feedback and build peer support. All mediums and artistic practices are welcome!
A professional guest critic guides the discussion with quality advice to help propel your project forward. March’s Open Critique guest critic will be Kelly McDowell, Neu Kirche resident performance artist hailing from New Zealand.
Wondering what to bring? Just bring yourself or come with documentation (digital or physical) of recent or in-progress work. The setting is informal. If you’re presenting work, you are encouraged to focus on one piece or a related series of works for the discussion. Bring along a snack to share. NK will provide some refreshments.
Open Critique is held every second Wednesday of the month. The March Open Critique with Kelly McDowell will be held on Wednesday, March 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Neu Kirche Contemporary Art Center, located at 1000 Madison Avenue in neighboring East Deutschtown. Limited seats are available, so email Neu Kirche in advance of the critique to secure your place. You can also register online or call 412-322-2224.
