Maria Caruso’s Ornamental Ecstasy Presented by The Frick Pittsburgh
Friday, July 23, at 6:30 pm
Join The Frick Pittsburgh for a free performance inspired by The Frick’s summer exhibitions, Cast in Chrome: The Art of Hood Ornaments and Sporting Fashion: Outdoor Girls 1800 to 1960. Dancer, choreographer, and director Maria Caruso and the artists of the Bodiography ballet company move through the history of hood ornaments at the Car and Carriage Museum, in the world premiere of Caruso’s dance film Ornamental Ecstasy, featuring an original score from composer and multi-instrumentalist Gala Aranaga. This is a virtual-only event streamed via City of Asylum @ Home.
