Mattress Factory Hosts Zodiac Garden Party Weekend!

After a two-year hiatus, the Mattress Factory is celebrating the return of its annual Garden Party Weekend!

ZODIAC: Garden Party on Friday, August 12

The weekend begins with the Museum’s signature fundraising event and one of the hottest parties in Pittsburgh: the ZODIAC: Garden Party! The 21+ party will be held on Friday, August 12 at the Mattress Factory and feature food and drink from dozens of Pittsburgh’s best restaurants and bars. Expect tarot readings, an art auction, and other divinations at stations throughout the party. The evening’s musical entertainment will include the likes of multidimensional neo-soul songwriter Clara Kent, party-starters Good Sport, late-night favorite DJ collective Jellyfish, and more. Doors open at 5:30 pm for VIP ticket holders, and 7:00 pm for General Admission. The party runs until 11:00 pm. All proceeds from the Garden Party benefit the Mattress Factory’s artistic programs, exhibitions, and education outreach. For more details, or to purchase your tickets, visit the ZODIAC: Garden Party event page.

All Ages Community Garden Party on August 14

The fun continues at the all-ages Community Garden Party, where Northside neighbors, as well as families from around the region, can enjoy a free day of admission to the Museum, music, and numerous hands-on immersive art experiences from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 14.

This year’s Community Garden Party will include tarot readings with Sarah Mary Ellis, jewelry and accessory-making with Tooth and Bone Jewelry, free real & temp astrology-themed tattoos from Maria Laine, activities from the Northside’s new Moonshot Museum, a pop-up record sale from The Government Center, and DJ sets from Formosa and Wavy Bunch Sound. Various food and drink options will be available for purchase, including a limited-edition Garden Party beer from Mindful Brewing.

While the Community Garden Party is free and open to the public, timed-entry registration is required to visit the indoor galleries. More information and free registration is available at the All Ages Community Garden Party event page.
