Instead of having a Mexican War Streets membership meeting this month, MWSS members, neighbors, and friends are invited to clean up Mechanics Retreat Garden! Participants should meet at the corner of Jacksonia and Buena Vista Streets, across from Commonplace Coffee, on Thursday, August 31, starting at 6:30 pm.
All tools and bags will be provided, but if you have gardening gloves and/or your own tools, you are welcome to bring them. The goal is to weed, trim, and whip the garden into shape ahead of the Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour on Sunday, September 10. But you’ll also have the chance to mingle with new and old friends, fuel up on Commonplace Coffee, and help beautify our neighborhood.
If you aren’t able to make it to the clean up, you are encouraged to clean up the area around your home so that our amazing neighborhood really shines! If you have questions, email info@mexicanwarstreets.org.
