City of Asylum @ Alphabet City, located at 40 West North Avenue, is the permanent home for City of Asylum programming and the arts. It is a hub for Pittsburgh’s readers and writers, jazz and small-scale music and performance, and artistic experimentation. It is a home for diverse voices from around the globe – a place where Pittsburgh meets the world and the world meets Pittsburgh. Deutschtown Music Festival Presents: Moe Seager
Saturday, July 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm
Moe Seager’s history as a poet, jazz musician, and jazz dance project creator is extensive. Seager has published six collections of poetry in English and his work has been translated in French and Arabic in complete collections. From 2011 through the present, Seager has co-created a series of Jazz Dance Poem performances with the Pillow Project Jazz Dance Company of Pittsburgh. These creations are performed in Pittsburgh, New York, and Paris.
