MuseumLab Hosts Coding Carnival with Taste of Brazilian Culture

Learn basic coding principles, experience a taste of Brazilian Carnival culture, and have fun at the all-ages Coding Carnival event in MuseumLab’s Tech Lab! 

  • Create binary-encoded carnival masks
  • Make binary-encoded necklaces and bracelets
  • Program a Robot Carnival Parade to dance the samba
  • Learn basic principles of machine learning with an analog input-output box

Coding Carnival will be held on Saturday, January 18 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the MuseumLab. Coding Carnival is sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh: Pitt Cyber, the English Department, the English Department’s Digital Media Lab, and the English Department’s Composition Program.
