National Aviary Tour: Spring Migration on Presque Isle

Presque Isle is a world renowned location for seeing wild birds in the springtime. Join the National Aviary for an adventure through nature while you learn about migratory birds! National Aviary Ornithologist, Bob Mulvihill, will lead this popular spring bus tour to one of the most important migration hotspots in the world! Countless migratory birds pause on the Presque Isle peninsula to rest and refuel before crossing over the Great Lakes to distant nesting grounds as far away as northern Canada and Alaska. This trip coincides with the Global Big Day, an international birding occasion. Bob will report every bird that you and he see to the global eBird.org database!

The Spring Migration on Presque Isle Tour will take place on Saturday, May 5 and on Sunday, May 13.  The bus departs from the National Aviary at 7:00 am and will return by 5:00 pm. Space is limited. For more information, visit the Spring Migration on Presque Isle event page. To register, call 412-258-9463 or send an email to  Audrey.Beichner@aviary.org.
