Official Northside Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday Party 2020

It’s time to celebrate on the Northside!

The Annual Northside Mardi Gras, Pittsburgh’s only neighborhood-wide Mardi Gras celebration, features a variety of Northside restaurants, pubs, and retail businesses offering New Orleans/Pre-Lenten inspired food, drink, retail specials, and live entertainment and events. The Northside Mardi Gras will be held daily from Saturday, February 15 to Tuesday, February 25. View the list of the Northside Mardi Gras daily events and specials.

On Saturday, February 15, the Northside Mardi Gras Official Kick-Off starts with a fun night of live entertainment from The Red Beans & Rice Combo at The Rathskellar of Max’s Allegheny Tavern, located at 537 Suisman Street. Doors open at 7:30 pm and the music starts the party at 8:00 pm

The 11 days of Northside Mardi Gras fun culminates in one big celebration with the Official Northside Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday Party on Tuesday, February 25 from 7:00 to 10:30 pm at the Allegheny Elks Lodge #339. There will be a kickoff with Colonel Eagleburger’s Highstepping Goodtime Band, live music by Dixie Doc and the Pittsburgh Dixieland All-Stars, dancing, great New Orleans-style food, King Cake, family activities, the crowning of the newest Mardi Gras King, Brian O’Neill, and much more!

All proceeds from the 50/50 raffle and king cake will go towards Work, a nonprofit organization that accompanies families in Haiti out of poverty through good, dignified jobs. They work in one community called Menelas, that encompasses the largest open landfill in the country. Menelas is also the official sister neighborhood to the North Side of Pittsburgh!
