One Northside invites you to Explore Community Schools during their next Community Knowledge Session. This session will define the elements of community schools, provide local case studies, and examine how a community model that builds strategic partnerships with schools, families, businesses and social service providers can facilitate healthy, self-sustaining and thriving communities. Participants can explore how this model can be tailored to meet the critical needs and culture of the Northside community.
Dr. Tyra Good and Selena Marshall, MSSA will facilitate the session and panel discussion. Invited panelists include representatives from Pittsburgh Public Schools, Manchester Academic Charter School, Manchester Youth Development Center, Propel Northside, and Homewood Children’s Villiage. Come learn and let your voice be heard.
Presented by One Northside, the Community Knowledge Session: Exploring Community Schools is free and will be held on Wednesday, January 18, at 6:00 pm at the New Hazlett Theater.
