Spring is Springing and Heathside Cottage has a whole weekend of activities lined up for Memorial Day weekend!
Carate Urio Orchestra
Friday, May 27 from 8:00 to 10:00 pm
Carate Urio Orchestra, a group of European and American improvisers and composers, will be featured throughout the evening, both inside and outside the Victorian cottage. Be immersed in an explorative communal environment in the guise of a good ol’ Memorial Day Weekend get-together.
Tom Sawyer Special
Saturday, May 28 from 12:00 to 6:00 pm
Shirk your chores and make all the mischief your rusty knife and apple core can afford With music, games, lots of dirty work, and plenty of ways to get out of it, this is the Cottage’s first major event of the year. The Tom Sawyer Special is a free event.
Sunday Brunch
Sunday, May 29 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Heathside Cottage will be hosting a special Sunday Brunch with traditional and peculiar food, drink, and entertainment.
Heathside Cottage is a nationally registered Historic Landmark in Pittsburgh’s Northside neighborhood of Fineview. Built in the mid-nineteenth century by bridge architect James Andrews, it has since been restored to its Early Victorian style, with ornate gothic features throughout the home and garden. Heathside Cottage is located at 416 Catoma Street in Fineview.
