Penn Brewery Offers Program for Serious Craft Beer Fans
Big news from Penn Brewery! They are rolling out an exciting program for experienced craft beer aficionados: Penn Brew U – Master’s Degree Level! If you know the basics of craft brews but want to explore more advanced topics, this event is for you. Penn Brew U – Master’s Degree Level is a hands-on program that takes a deep dive into the production, quality control, and tasting nuances of craft. Among other topics, you’ll learn about:
- The grain bill – grain/beer pairing
- Advanced beer and food pairing
- Off-flavor sensory analysis – how to identify the cause of foul-tasting beer
- Barrel aging demo and tasting
- Time and temperature, and how they affect beer
The first session of Penn Brew U – Master’s Degree Level will be held on Saturday, March 11 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Penn Brewery. The course will be led by Penn Brewery’s team of brewers. Tickets include a Penn Brewery hat and an upscale beer-themed lunch. Attendees must be 21 or older.
