Join the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh in the Art Studio of the Children’s Museum as they embark on their next Community Outreach Project, Pop des Fleurs. Pop des Fleurs is an outdoor installation planned for the winter of 2016, designed to bring delight and color during the dark season through handmade, pop-up flower gardens. Pop des Fleurs will be created by the community and made primarily out of repurposed materials!
This weekend, on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14. come to the Art Studio as flowers are made for the first installation of Pop des Fleurs. To participate, BYOB! Bring your own bags, that is! All flowers will be made out of colorful, recycled bags. The brighter the better! There will be some bags on-hand ready to use, but the Children’s Museum is accepting donations.
The Studio: Pop des Fleurs event will held from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. For more details about the art project, visit the Pop des Fleurs website. For additional event information, visit the Studio: Pop des Fleurs event page.
