Reflections Children’s Performance

During the performance of Reflections, you will experience five new works that will captivate you, sweep you worlds away, and leave you reflecting on where you are and how you got there.

  • Texture associate artistic director, Kelsey Bartman, created a sensational new piece set to the music of Coldplay.
  • Artistic director Alan Obuzor’s new work explores humanity’s past and present perspective, perception, and subjugation of human life.  It is set to the classical music of Ezio Bosso.
  • Texture dancer Jean-Paul presents a dynamic new piece that features guest dancer Kiera Brinkley – a pioneer differently-abled dancer and choreographer.
  • Rounding out the mix are two Point Park University Alumni, Jamie Erin Murphy and Annalee Traylor, who will present their own debut works.

Presented by Texture Contemporary Ballet,  a special Reflections Children’s Performance will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 4:00 pm.  For the Reflection’s Children’s Performance, excerpts from Reflections will be presented, geared for ages 0-10. Following this performance, there will be an interactive segment where the children can come on stage and dance with the dancers. The total run time for this event is 40-60 minutes.
