Sembène Film Festival: Come Back, Africa

City of Asylum is hosting a free screening of the film Come Back, Africa presented by the Sembène Film Festival. Come Back, Africa chronicles the life of Zachariah, a black South African living under the rule of the harsh apartheid government in 1959. Lionel Rogosin’s film was made secretly in order to portray the true conditions of life in South Africa at that time. There are no professional actors in this drama of the fate of a man and his country. There will be a Q&A after the film led by Sabira Bushra of the Sembène – The Film & Arts Festival.
