It’s going to be an evening of free jazz with internationally known pianist, Claudio Cojaniz. Cojaniz worked extensively as a composer, and writes music for film and TV. Since 1996 he has been a pianist in the New DK Blues Band quartet. Between jazz sets, Claudio will collaborate with Chilean-American writer and translator, Daniel Borzutzky, as well as poets from the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa for a jazz and poetry interlude. Featured poets include Roberto Echeto (poet, fiction writer, graphic artist, essayist), Salah Badis (poet, translator, journalist), and CAI Tianxin (poet, essayist).
