The Ornithologist Is In: Identifying Birds of Western PA

Do you enjoy watching birds but find yourself often wondering what kinds you are seeing? The process of identifying birds is a challenge, and it does help to have somebody teach you the basics.  Let the National Aviary’s Ornithologist, Bob Mulvihill, show you exactly what to look for when you see a bird and how to identify any bird you’ve just seen!  With Bob’s simple system, any bird you see will fast become a familiar feathered friend!

Ornithologist Bob Mulvihill has studied the birds of our area for more than 35 years. In this series of classes for all ages, Bob will help you appreciate the birds you see by teaching you about bird identification, bird migrations, and ways to attract many kinds of birds to your backyard.

The Ornithologist is In: Identifying the Birds of Western PA will be held on Saturday, February 13, at 10:30 am at the National Aviary. For more information, visit The Ornithologist Is In event page. Call 412-258-9445 to register. Space is limited, so be sure to purchase your ticket soon.
