Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse Hosts an Old-Fashioned Gala

Spend an evening with Allegheny City Society at one of the Northside’s newest business establishments, perpetuating one of the Northside’s oldest industries, while learning about David Hostetter.

David Hostetter, of Western Avenue in Manchester, was one of Allegheny’s wealthiest businessmen. He established his fortune on the manufacturing of Hostetter’s Bitters. Come to the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse and hear about this Alleghenian and the process of Bitters production then and now.

A full selection of Wigle libations will be available – along with the opportunity to take home a few bottles for home medicinal use! Light food will be provided along with some non-alcoholic beverages. Entertainment will be provided by The Spring Hillbillies.

The Old-Fashioned Gala will be held on Wednesday, September 2, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse, located at 1055 Spring Garden Avenue in Spring Garden Valley, one of the Northside’s oldest neighborhoods. Seating is limited. For reservations, call 412-849-2233 or 412-364-6132.
